I recently read this article in the Nytimes describing the challenges of a Financial Services company attracting Tech Talent. We have personally experienced significant success placing top caliber Technology Executives at our Financial Services Client. I believe this success is due to the customized search strategy we employ with each client. My experience has been not every Engineer is interested or a cultural fit for Facebook, Google etc. The customized search strategy ascertains what qualities would likely make a good fit for these types of opportunities and focuses the search.
